Mission Statement

The mission of the Financial Engineering Club is to enhance its members’ capabilities and elevate their perspectives in order to advance in the field of risk management and derivative valuation. The club focuses on increasing the awareness and understanding of various developments in finance, including risk management, hedge fund management, and portfolio management.

Goals

1. Create a self-sustaining organization, capable of accomplishing our Mission.
2. Create and manage a hedge fund of the long-short style, ultimately attaining corporate sponsorship.
3. Create and maintain a monthly Newsletter.
4. Weekly update the club website.
5. Host guest speakers to enhance knowledge of the Finance Industry.
6. Organize trips to Thomson Financial Boston, and the NYC financial community in conjunction with Quinnipiac.
7. Organize an annual trip to the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in order to provide students with the ability to observe the actual trading process.
8. Achieve Senate recognition.
